Ok. So I looked at: those three applications ( or should I say API's???) and the only one I can think of a use for is MAPPR. Actually kind of interesting. Curious to me not many pictures from California.
For: Montagr and Color Pickr (what is it with the dropping e's here!!!) They kind of go together and I find both of little very little interest at this moment. In fact it looked like a big time waster to me.
I suppose I should reserve judgement because I just may/might/remotely come up with a way to use it but...probably NOT!

# 5 -- Flickr continued
Well it seems that what it takes to get "in" is a Yahoo account and I just happen to already have one of those. But I can't decide what I am going to call my "page address", apparently it can't be changed later.
Really!!! in this world of morphing every other second I have to decide something that will 'be unchanged'----Ohhhhh the stress is too much I had to stop and think. The test now will be can I come up with something that I will remember later. This will be a challenge.

Week 3-# 5--Flickr
Well I have looked at the first page of Flickr and get alternately bored and uncomfortable like I am a peeping tom. Really don't see too much of interest....
Then I went and saw the intro material. Lots of "aren't we great" advertising and jargon. What the (bleep!) is "Moblogging"??? These words are too weird!
Then I went and looked at some websites that libraries have put up. Found some pretty hilarious pictures. One picture of a library staff was classic. Most of the people in the picture look like someone I have met working in libraries around here but this was a picture of staff in another state....way far away!
Oh. And one picture was of an alligator at a children's program. Yeah. What would Alan have to say about that? :-)

# 3, # 4 --Week # 2
- These were done between Jan 3 and 13
- I read and listened to the intro material
- I got lost looking at blogs that were up there already
Then I got down to business...
- I like the succintness of the definition:
"Learning is defined as acquiring a new skill or knowledge."
- I decided that the hardest of the habits for me is # 1 Begin with the end in mind.
- I decided that the easiest is #2: I have always been responsible for my own learning and am actually not happy unless I am learning something.
- I am most intrigued by #5: Create your own toolbox. I like that form...got to go finish it....
I can't believe I REALLY got this far!!!! (Week 1)
This is my first post on my first blog. Or at least I think it is....can't tell what it will look like at this moment.
Hee! Hee! gonna prove 'em wrong. This old cat can learn some new tricks!!
